Hastings Community News

Is a free monthly newsletter providing news about local activities and issues which local voluntary and community groups take part in.  It also provides a platform for the promotion of good practice, funding opportunities and new policies which affect the voluntary and community sector.  At the bottom of this page you will find an archive of all the editions of Hastings Community News going back to April 2002, which have been saved  in Acrobat Reader (PDF) format.

Requesting Community News by email

Hastings Community News is now available free to anyone who is a member of a voluntary or community group or anyone who works with community and voluntary groups in their job.

To get Hastings Community News sent by email, all you need to do is send an email to infoworker@hastingsvoluntaryaction.org

Include the words 'PLEASE SEND ME YOUR NEWSLETTER BY EMAIL'  in the title, plus your full name and the name of the voluntary or community organisation you are part of, or the job you do working with organisations in the voluntary and community sector.

If your organisation wants to be included in HVA’s Directory of Local Voluntary and Community Sector Groups you will need to apply to join HVA click here for more details.

Submitting Articles and other Copy.

As far as possible, we try to include all articles which are likely to have a relevence to voluntary and community  organisations. If you are sending us items for publication, we have now produced some handy tips which are likely to increase the chances of your article being included. Click here for further guidance

Paid Advertising Inserts

We also provide a paid service (at reduced rates for HVA members) where we will distribute your own leaflets as 'inserts' together with a PDF of the same leaflet to go out with Hastings Community News. You can get. information about paid advertising here
