Directory of Organisations

Paper Edition

Every year Hastings Voluntary Action published a paper directory of organisations active in our area, this is called The HVA's Directory of Local Voluntary and Community Sector Resources. We can't afford to post these out to everyone who wants one but you are more than welcome to collect copies of the most recent paper edition from at 31a Priory Street  a page on how to find Hastings Voluntary Action will profide further details of how to get to our office on foot, by road, by bus and by rail.

PDF Download - Latest Version 15 Sept 2008

The most up to date version of our directory now gets published as two PDFs. The information is constantly being updated from our annual membership forms, training delivery, group support, volunteering support and newsletter distribution. The best way to keep up to date with individual contacts in the voluntary and community sector is by viewing the PDF version.

The most recent Directory Index - containing names of organisations listed thematically

The full alphabetical listing of Directory Entries  containing contact details, days and times when organisations meet, or how they deliver services, together with descriptions of what each organisation does.

Contacting the Wider Sector

While you may find that  the best way to get information about individual organisations is by using the directory, sometimes you may want to reach specific segments of the sector or the sector as a whole.

By using our voluntary and community sector database, Hastings Voluntary Action can get information to segments of our membership, unpublicised members of organisations (who may not be the first contact  for our directory) and statutory sector officers who receive monthly information from us by post or email. The best way to reach many people in these groups people is by either submitting written copy or paid inserts for Hastings Community News. More details of how to submit written copy and paid inserts for Hastings Community News can now be read on this website.
