Volunteer Services Co-ordinator - Brighton Women’s Centre
BWC is at the forefront of a movement actively supporting women and girls with multiple vulnerabilities across Sussex, working collaboratively with both voluntary and statutory partners to achieve positive outcomes.

BWC is part of a wider network of women’s centres and gender responsive providers contributing to ongoing research on good practice and innovation in services for vulnerable women.  We proactively work to identify and address the underlying factors for women presenting with multiple, complex needs and position our services to achieve the very best for women we support.

The Volunteer Services Co-ordinator will be responsible for the development and day-to-day running of our Volunteer Services.  The postholder will be responsible for the consistent delivery of high quality services, ensuring all services are integrated and work within the outcomes framework for the organisation.
BWC has been awarded funding from Brighton and Hove City Council to roll out city-wide Women’s Hubs to provide women-only, peer-led drop-in services in local communities.  These services will provide a safe, inclusive environment for women to receive support across a range of needs.  The Volunteer Services Co-ordinator will initiate developments within this pilot service and lead consultation with identified communities in Brighton and Hove to set up and further develop outreach support.

Community Wellbeing Advisor - Southdown
Hastings. 37 hours per week. Salary:  £19,875 - £21,798 per annum
This is an exciting chance to be part of an innovative project based in GP Practices in Hastings. GP's have identified that there are a significant number of repeat visits from vulnerable local residents who state that they are experiencing mental distress due to issues with their housing, finances, relationships, unemployment and general wellbeing. The GPs are finding it difficult to offer medical solutions to what appears to be the impact of social and economic issues.  The aim of the service is to offer alternative support options to improve patient health and wellbeing and subsequently reduce the number of GP appointments that individuals require.
Working closely with the Coordinator and team, this post will provide direct support to clients referred to the service. You will need experience of providing frontline services and be skilled at working in a solution focused way to enable clients to successfully address issues that they feel are negatively impacting on their health. Ideally, you will need to have an extensive existing knowledge of services and other support providers in the Hastings area.

Fulfilling Lives: Multiple and Complex Needs South East Project Ref:903
The purpose of the Fulfilling Lives Project, funded by The Big Lottery is to bring about lasting change in how services work with people with multiple and complex needs. The project will operate in Brighton and Hove, Eastbourne and Hastings and will be delivered by different delivery partners in each area.
BHT is the lead organisation for the South East Partnership.
Project Consultant Assistant
(18 Month Fixed Term Contract)

This is an exciting development opportunity for individuals who have personal experience of complex needs and of using support services. The post will involve working with service users and the staff team to review and improve services for people with multiple and complex needs. The job includes a comprehensive training program and supervision. Help to move on to other vocational opportunities will also be provided at the end of the project. 
You will need to have experience facilitating or volunteering in service user groups or forums, show knowledge of local agencies in the area you wish to apply, have excellent communication skills and be passionate about improving services for people with complex needs.
