Reasons to Join

Nearly 400 organisations are now members of HVA.  Its absolutly free to join and members are then able to benefit from a range of services including: 

A free monthly newsletter - sent by email or post – keeping you up to date with recent news affecting voluntary and community organisations in this area.

Free use of Hastings Voluntary Action’s information services

A free copy of our Directory of Local Voluntary and Community Sector Resources and the opportunity to be included in this publication

The support of our Volunteer Centre to assist with recruitment of volunteers

Support and advice on setting up or running a voluntary and community organisation

Access to the services of a specialist funding advisor

Affordable meeting rooms for hire in the town centre, available for daytime meetings.

An equipment booking service for groups who may need to borrow things such as a hearing loop, PA system, overhead or laptop projector.

How to apply for membership

We encourage all voluntary and community organisations working in this area to apply for membership, the criteria are set out as part of our Membership and Database Proforma click here to download  as Word form.

All your organisation needs to do is fill out an application form and email it to:
