Hastings Community Network, in  partnership with The Hastings Exchange are holding a community forum on

 

‘Education and Accountability – going to school in Hastings in 2014’

 

On Thursday 19th June 2014 from 2.00 to 6.00 pm

 At The University Building, 4th Floor Priory Square, The University of Brighton in Hastings.

 

 

This Community Forum has been designed to discuss the opportunities and challenges presented by recent changes to educational structures in Hastings, what might be learned from exciting research, what new research and developments are needed and how Hastings as a community can pool resources to get the best possible outcomes for our children.

 

The Hastings Exchange is a part of the University of Brighton in Hastings and supported by The Community University Partnership Programme and The department for Economic and Social Engagement. It takes the form of a knowledge exchange in which academics, students and community practitioners might work together to develop knowledge about the local area.

 

Speakers will include: Martin Kaliszewski from Dfe and consultant for the Fischer Family, Professor Yvonne Hillier and Mandy Curtis from the University of Brighton and representatives from the community and three localacademies. There will also be an opportunity for workshop discussions and networking to look at areas for future research and partnerships. A copy of the programme is attached below.
