Quality Assurance

Organisations often use a quality assurance system to show to themselves, their funders and other stakeholders that they are providing a quality service for their beneficiaries, as well as treating staff or volunteers well.

Locally HVA can run a healthcheck for your organisation, to make sure that key elements are in place. This can be used as the first steps to quality assurance. A copy can be found at the bottom of this page.

For organisations that are entirely volunteer-led, Quality First is a simple but nationally recognised quality assurance system.

For larger voluntary organisations, the "industry standard" quality assurance system is PQASSO

Other nationally recognised quality assurance systems include Investers in People and Investors in Volunteers

Depending on the field that your organisation operates in, there may be issue-specific quality assurance systems that would be relevant for your organisation.
